In un profondo sentimento di gratitudine rivolgiamo un sincero ringraziamento ai 1065 uomini e donne che onorandoci col loro voto hanno voluto dare forza, condividendole, alle idee che Galatina in Movimento ha negli ultimi sei mesi veicolato. Idee di legalità, fondate su un profondo senso di dignità politica e personale che rigettano in toto i metodi e le consuetudini abnormi che oramai da troppi anni opprimono la nostra Galatina.
Abbiamo vinto ! Ovviamente non sul piano numerico, non potevamo certo pensare di ottenere la maggioranza, ma sul piano morale si, Galatina in Movimento ha vinto conseguendo i principali dei risultati auspicati :
- "force" policy Galatina to bring discussion to focus on the need to recapture that fundamental individual and collective morality that should be the basis for every decision or act, regardless of ideology or field of individual choices;

Entro un anno addio alle "Ato". - Per i servizi idrici e quelli dei rifiuti.
Una delle novità introdotte dagli emendamenti al Dl salva-enti consiste nell'addio, entro dodici mesi, alle Autorità d'ambito territoriale (Ato) che attualmente si occupano del servizio idrico e di quello dei rifiuti; le competenze che oggi appartengono alle Ato saranno, con ogni probabilità, assorbite dalle province.

L’assemblea molto partecipata, ha visto tra gli intervenuti: De Paolis per il PDL, Falco del PD, Gerardo Filippo per IO SUD, Santoro Segretario del PdCI. Ognuno ha cercato di sottolineare il proprio punto di vista, invitando ovviamente il movimento a schierarsi il prima possibile, tenendo presente che oramai il tempo stringe e le elezioni sono alla porta.
Al temine dei saluti degli invitati hanno preso la parola i responsabili di GIM. Tra gli altri ha subito parlato Stefano De Benedittis spiegando le ragioni della nascita del movimento.
