A rare tree in San Marcello San Bortolo

beginning of the ascent of Via Don Basilio De Rosso, in San Bartolo, in the parking lot on the right side of the road, is a fine example of Pterocarya fraxinifolia Spach. - Family Juglandaceae (also called "Walnut the Caucasus").
The name comes from the greek "Pteron" - wing and "karyon" - Walnut: in fact the infructescence, 20-50 cm long, is una spiga con tante piccole noci circondate da un'ala tutt'attorno.

How To Grow Java Moss Taxiphyllum Barbieri

Il substrato di origine vulcanica in alcuni punti emerges in this environment and the chestnuts are also a suitable environment. Too bad that the air is stifling here today: the stench of the tanneries, which makes it less valuable to the landscape here is really beautiful.

climb higher encounter on the border between the towns of Arzignano Montorso and the church of San Marcello (XV-XVI). It is already on the territory of Montorso and is owned by the parish of Montorso. The church is visited each year by a pilgrimage from the plain below, and warm celebration. Although not far from the main road and residential area, offers good insulation, wrapped the forest dominated by black locust, accompagnata da orniello, farnia, acero campestre, gelso, pioppo, biancospino, corniolo, roverella, nocciolo e qualche ciliegio residuo.

Guardando la mappa appare evidente che la dorsale collinare is a cornerstone of communication between the naturalized areas of the valley and the ridge is close to the river Chiampo, another "ecological corridor" important, in two places: at the Parc des Sports here, across the hill of San Marco and pears down the valley of the river undisturbed until Chiampo, with a small perennial stream, surrounded by the most typical species of the wetlands: black alder and willow. It would be important to preserve these areas remaining intact, very important to wildlife. The same white road that connects via Costa Montorso with, and should remain so limited traffic because it cuts through the connecting corridor between the plains and hills and is frequented by many small animals that would suffer from increased traffic (sea urchin, frog, slow worm, salamander, various beetles, in quet'area very often ...).

Tell Me About Tanzanite

The pine forests Arzignano

Arzignano Also there is a pine forest. This is a small group clearly artificial, located on the top of a hill away from wells in the Castle.
Formation is composed mostly of evergreens: Spruce (Picea abies ), Lawson Cypress ( Chamaechyparis lawsoniana), Himalayan cedar (Cedrus deodara ), Himalayan pine (Pinus wallichiana). Entering the woods we have the impression of being away from Arzignano, in fact, the vegetation is certainly alien to the environment in which it resides. A placement of artificial suffer most are the red fir and Lawson cypress that have greatly suffered from the drought of 2003, which led to death numerous examples.
are already growing many plants in the undergrowth of elder and if nothing is done the coniferous forest of course will sell up to local sawmills. In fact, the pine trees would need to renew itself naturally sunny open spaces but also the crash of the natural mature plants would not be able to leave in this context of free space to young seedlings heliophilous, because the undergrowth is already occupied by the more competitive local hardwoods.
Although the artificial wood still retains its charm, creating an environment here naturaliforme evocative of other places and other climes.

Fun Construction Plans

The Castle Hill, on the slope that descends to Tezze and on the slope down to the Quartier Mantovano, hosts a series of clusters of limited size composed mainly of Robinia pseudoacacia, Quercus robur and some Sambucus nigra.
Along the east side, between via and via Calpeda Wells area, however, is more humid, with the presence of several wells and cisterns and also the sliding of a small stream on the surface. The wettest area has the typical vegetation of the cooler valleys with willow and alder (taken in the first picture), while areas with higher and drier slopes are covered with robinieti sometimes pure, robinieto like the picture below.

area there are numerous vineyards and the variety of environments, with meadows and woods alternate with vineyards that sometimes dried, sometimes moist, produces a very complex ecosystem , where they find their deer habitat, badgers, squirrels and many herbaceous species vegetate. From the perspective of the hilly landscape is very impressive with plenty of space here, fortunately, still free from buildings.

The area is crossed by the ancient "City of Fountains Road", now abandoned, but the water wealth of the area is witnessed by many wells dug in compact volcanic rock that make up the slope of the hill to the plains of San Matteo Tezze.
